We’re looking for a motivated and technically minded Medior Mechanical Engineer to join our team. You’ll work closely with our customers and colleagues to turn technical challenges into practical, innovative solutions.

What will you be doing?

Together with your colleagues, you’ll develop products through short, iterative cycles of design, building and evaluation. You’ll take ownership of the entire process, from the very first sketch to putting the finishing touches on a prototype before it heads off to a trade show.

As a Mechanical Engineer, you’ll design complex products and then get hands-on by assembling and testing them in our lab. You’ll analyse how your designs perform, identify areas for improvement and make the necessary adjustments. Spending an entire day behind your computer? That’s rarely the case here!

Your goal is to deliver a fully functional prototype in a short amount of time, ready for the end user to put to the test. To make that happen, you’ll work closely with suppliers to source the right components for your projects. You may also get the opportunity to present solutions developed by you or your team directly to the customer.

You have a few years of experience under your belt, a practical mindset and the confidence to take ownership of a project. Most importantly, you’re curious, creative and always looking for a smarter way to solve a problem.

Here’s what you bring to the table:

• A solid technical foundation. You have a bachelor’s degree (HBO level) in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics, and at least two years of experience in a technical role.

• A hands-on mentality. You don’t just design things on a screen, you want to build, test, troubleshoot and see your ideas work in real life.

• SolidWorks skills. You’re confident using SolidWorks and know how to turn your designs into practical, workable solutions.

• A feel for food technology. Experience in the food industry is a big plus, especially if you understand the importance of hygiene, reliability and smart design.

• The ability to take the lead. You can keep a project moving, bring colleagues together and take responsibility for getting things done.

• Strong communication skills. You can explain technical ideas clearly, work well with customers and suppliers, and feel comfortable presenting your solutions.

• Dutch and English. You communicate confidently in both languages, verbally and in writing.

• A creative problem-solving mindset. You’re curious by nature, pay attention to the details and aren’t afraid to challenge the obvious when there’s a better solution to be found.

You don’t need to have all the answers from day one. What matters is that you’re eager to learn, take initiative and enjoy turning challenging ideas into something tangible.
